After Renya and company arrive at Suminiastar, they hardly found any free time.
It’s not like they have been taking an overwhelming amount of job like a pervert. It’s just that because their flawless achievement just shines too much and made the employer's trust to let them do the job increase infinitely.
For example, when the gang visits the government office to search for interesting job, the moment they are spotted looking at the list or bulletin board, it will always become like this:

The situation over here is just like war.
Everyone could hear the mess happened on the side of the government worker in the middle of their request taking process but everyone acts like they don’t hear it.

After all, today marks a week after the news of war escalation between Faskurn and Ezemeria.

Many wanderers and warriors that taking base in both kingdom immediately flee after feeling the air of unrest around. As the result, the government offices everywhere are choking full with the sudden influx of people.

That’s right, there are currently chaos happened because of the overwhelming number of wanderer coming to the city.

But it was not a simple chaos happened because they can’t accommodate the refugee. After all Suminiastar is a kingdom which thrives from the major influx of newcomer from outside. At least Suminiastar is not a weak kingdom that couldn’t process the continuous amount of refugee even if they keep on coming in the span of time of a month or more.

The one that actually caused the chaos is ---- the number of request that is coming to the government office this few days that has been skyrocketing far more than the usual.

Mercenaries and other fighting class people especially focused their migration to Suminiastar and the backlash from them doing so start appearing around the continent lately. Because the population of human, especially the fighting class people suddenly decreased, the magic beast and monsters are left run rampant and the currently active fighting class people can’t keep up with the thinning process. The public safety on the area around Suminiastar plummets abruptly.

Not only monster overpopulating problem, because of the large influx of immigrant in the city, the shrewder merchant look at it as an opportunity to increase their income as well and start to move even more vigorous. They put more effort in stocking up things to meet up the demand and actively recruit more hand to catch even more profit.

And the result, the number of job request that come to the government office bloat up by a few times compared to the usual number they had in peaceful time.

The government workers also can’t just simply accept the request then immediately post it to the list. If they just do that much, why bother making such intermediary agency like them?

The workers need to check the request through many divergences before the request is deemed acceptable. Some of those checks are including the credence of the requestor, the balance between the job content and payment, and other kinds of such check to ensure the profit for both requester and request taker. They are hardly an agency that would receive all kind of request without care.

But, to achieve such ideal means that the government office aims for, they would also need an adequate number of hand supporting it.

Their work aren’t only limited to receiving request, they also need to settle the request taker payment and they also need to deal with the aftermath of the request if needed. Because of that, the government office has been in the state of Full House of Gratitude these last few weeks and keep on working at full force. (From the title. It could mean the workers are giving thanks for having a full house situation from people watching their show. But in this case, even if it is gratitude for the worker, it would also meant an endless hell of jobs)


“I’m glad I’m not on that side. Doesn’t it look like they get even busier as the day passes?”
“Subjugation request should’ve been cleared day in and day out without stopping so we should reach a calm period soon but……”


Answering Elvira’s question, Renya nods back at her with an answer that indirectly agrees with her point.

Suminiastar Kingdom certainly has a lot of backwater region inside its territory so the problem related to magic beast and monsters can be said to be countless but the kingdom also has many expert on this field that going back and forth vigorously every day to subjugate those monsters yet the situation doesn’t seem to improve even a bit. This situation makes Renya feel doubtful.

While Renya is frowning from thinking about the abnormal situation, someone tug on his jacket sleeve in a cute manner. The one who show her appeal in this kind of cute way can be none other than Rebecca. Renya quickly guess who tugged his sleeve and turn his gaze to look at that way.


“…… Around this time…… some magic beast is…… entering their active period”
“U~mm, like having a mass outbreak or some kind?”
“That is too…… especially insect type monsters…… would attack villages in large group…… anyway their activity become bolder”
“So the one sending out the subjugation request would not only be from the capital city but the surrounding town and villages too eh……?”


Rebecca nods to affirm his conclusion so Renya gives her a pat in the head as his way to say thank you for telling him and turns his attention toward the bulletin board.

Even with a big influx of people in this city, the untaken request numbers are still too overwhelming.

The difficulty level of the requests can’t be even categorized as hard. Looking at the content, all the target magic beast and monsters are those that his party had already subjugate at least once on the area around the capital.

Seems like there’s no special time request like the subjugation request of a ‘monster that would appear only once in 10 years!’ or something but still, no one could just live their 24 hours by fighting monster all the time. And there’s also problem with transportation too which would waste a few days of the request taker time to reach their destination.

When he thinks that way, he could understand how the monster breeding rate could surpass the rate of their subjugation. And with the said active period as another reason, he is positive that if they could endure it for now, a peaceful time will surely come.

Then again if that peaceful time did come, then there will be problems with some adventurer unable to find any job and become penniless. But well, that problem is not for them to solve, let the kingdom wrack their brain for it as it is their job anyway. Renya would just focus his thought on the content of the request and creates a meticulous plan to hunt with more efficiency like usual.

He need to balance his result so it won’t look too unnatural yet still has a high efficiency rate so he start planning a route which would let him do the most work especially the subjugation job.


“Mkay I decide. I will take this and this and this and this and then lastly that one. We will accept these requests”
“Certainly! It such a great help for us! Well then, please sign here!”


The subjugation jobs that Renya is taking are those that have a relatively high urgency level and those jobs’ location chained together to make a course that goes around Suminiastart northeastern area.

Floria and Brenda also found their own jobs after looking around the government office.


“Then Renya, me and Brenda going to tidy up these jobs okay”
“Aa, please do…… Waittaminute Floria, isn’t this restaurant you are going to temp to is the one where we had dinner before with Greiz and the others?”
“That’s right. The place is just around the corner from the lodging so it’s perfect”

That uniform emphasizes its wearer breast area but because the design toned down the sensuality, it managed to gives a not too vulgar impression. Added with many frill everywhere, that waitress uniform really do look cute. Indeed such cute uniform would look good on Floria.

But while Renya feels happy with Floria decisiveness, the surrounding male wanderer suddenly cancelled their taken job request en masse.


“I’m sorry but I suddenly remember that I have other things to do”

The reason for why these men act like this is easily guessed by everyone present there.

But unfortunately for them, there is no one here who will let them forfeit their contracted request with just that kind of lame blatant excuse.

One of the receptionist lady with a one grade higher brilliant smile from before says:

But behind her brilliant smile, she unreservedly let out a bone-chilling pressure to those troublemakers.
Even document worker like them are scary when angered.

“P-please just give us another day! Just one more day!”

By the way, in normal times, there are no such things as forbidding job cancellation. How can the office deny the wanderer cancellation request if, for example, can’t defeat the target monster because the target are actually stronger than the wanderer expected and they only managed to run away barely with their life.

Renya only snapped at them because even he haven’t seen Floria in such sight which made him tried to threaten them to behave but their reaction isn’t something Renya expected.


“We are only looking so let us off won’t you! We definitely won’t touch we still want to live!”
“That’s right that’s right! Please just share a bit of this oasis for our heart! It's not like you will lose anything right!?”
“You’ve been monopolizing that flower garden by yourself like that just drop dead! Ah pardon me, I said that too much, so please take back that fist! I’M SORRY!!”


They are definitely too honest with their desire but Renya thinks that it will bring trouble to the government office if this were to continue so Renya, holding back his emotion to not beat up silly that one last guy, while being astounded, says:

After hearing that words, the troublemakers made an expression that seems like being enlightened! Those guys expression suddenly becomes cheerful instead.


“UOOOOOOOO!! I will go right away! I feel like the current me even can defeat those Giant Worm easily! I will definitely see Floria-chan wearing that uniform!”
“A round trip is roughly 2 days…… it might be a little tight but it is still alright. I can do it!! I will bring back some souvenir so wait for me Floria-chan!”
“Thank god my target is closeby~~~!!! HAHAHA! Then I will go first! I will finish my job first then will witness her uniform figure first! Later then peeps! HYAH-HA~!”


Those guys are screaming out their bare-naked desire in high tension while speeding out to get their job done. Renya prays that they won’t meet many mishap because of their over eagerness but just to double check those guys safety, Renya decides to check the content of the jobs taken by those guys. After all, it would weight on his mind if anyone of them ends up dead after he provoke them like that.


“Then, according to your estimation, how many of those guys who would actually get back before three days?”
“If all of them are just go and subjugate their target then most of them would managed…… although……”
“Although?”
“Almost every one of them had pick subjugation job that target monster is quite hard to find so…… I think most of them would need at least an extra day to track and find their target”
“Then it will be all depend on their luck, is that what you mean?”
“I’m afraid luck is not enough for them. If I count it right, when they reach their destination, those monsters would already went into hiding and won’t come out for a while so…… it might be impossible for them to get back in three days……”


Such pitiable people, but it can’t be helped.

After all this time around, everywhere is in a short-handed state and he feels bad if one of his party member would cut even more man power and for that reason, he doesn’t feel guilty in the slightest for provoking them in such manner. Yes, it is only for that reason.

It is definitely not because he feels angry at those guys because they want to look at Floria in her waitress uniform with a gaze that is like licking her all over her body like that. Yup, definitely not. So I hope you guys won’t make it back in three days is what Renya has in his mind.

By the way, other single man in the room is looking at his back with a jealous eyes but he just casually ignored it.


“But I’m sorry, our number are limited so I can’t let Elvira take the escorting mission by herself so”
“Oh please don’t feel sorry like that! You already help us out a lot! Thanks to Renya-san you’re your other party members, our job are decreases by a lot in an instant! You are just like a god that descends to grace us with your help!”

Renya and other party member are thinking of the same thing when they see the receptionist girl bowing her head in gratefulness.

While bringing a big baggage filled with magic beasts’ and monsters’ part that is cleanly dissembled by using Hlidskjalf’s automatic butchering facility, Renya and his party return back to Suminiastar Governmental Job Seeking Office.

The worker there who at first was shocked by the sheer number of monster parts they bring back added on top of their very fast job accomplishment time but now, their gaze are filled with confidence and relief when welcoming them back. Renya secretly feel good about their gaze so he naturally made a smile.


“Well then, could you please check out the monster’s parts that I bring as the proof of subjugation?”
“Fuha~ …… Renya-san and gang are standing out like a sore thumb like usual. I know that in theory, traveling around the routes that you made before would indeed only takes two or three days to complete but, does it really that easy to track down those magic beast in the first place?”


If there are a magician that is an expert in the field of search magic or a veteran scout then it indeed would become easier. The receptionist girl is saying it with an intention to dig some information from Renya but Renya only gives back a vague answer to her.


“……… Ah…… now that you mention it……”


Rebecca is acting like she suddenly remembers something then she proceeds to put more monster’s fangs into the table where the worker there is frantically tallying Renya’s subjugation spoils.


“On way back home…… found a flock of Sand Lizard…… is there any…… request to subjugate them?”
“Eh, Rebecca-chan? Where did you find that flock of Sand Lizard!?”
“Umm…… in the map…… around this area”
“Kyaaa~~~! We just received that subjugation request just this morning! Your timing is too perfect. Now I don’t have to make the request notification for it! I will immediately process it so please wait a moment!”


The receptionist girl skips out with much vigor to get the document.

And then she get scolded by her sharp-sighted superior not long after.


“…… Seems like being a government office worker is also a hard work”
“If it was in Suminiastar, that is…… There’s seems to be no end to work around here after all……”


The more area untouched by the hands of the human also means the more breeding ground available for the monsters. And then the more people gather in one spot then the more job request available.

Even now, the notice board is jam-packedly pasted with the not yet taken job request.

But even if it looks crowded, the condition seems to be much better than 3 days ago as Renya think to himself.

Then suddenly, he noticed a pair of people finishing their business with the office in the receptionist neighboring his. Renya suddenly got interested in their conversation without any particular reason then started focusing his intention to them.

Those two are a pair of man and woman party. The man kinda stands out because of his overly light equipment that is only a metallic breastplate and a pair of gauntlets while the girl wear a long skirt and a hooded mantle. Seeing the staff in her hand, Renya guesses that she must be a magician.

From their looks, they look older than Renya (appearance wise). They seems to be about in the middle of their thirties.


“By the way I really was surprised by that booming sound that happened yesterday morning. That explosion sound made me completely awoken from my sleep”
“Even I was surprised by that. Doesn’t that sound seem to be coming from the direction of Ezemeria Kingdom? Doesn’t that mean the rumor about that place being dangerous is the truth after all?”
“That may be the case…… Seems like my decision to quickly escape from Faskurn was the right decision after all”
“Moreover, my guts telling me that whichever side wins, things would eventually go south…… I even feel bad vibes from the merchant there”

But his thought got distracted with the receptionist girl perfect business smile even though she just got scolded by her superior.

Renya is really amazed by her working ethic.
Even while feeling bad from the omen he felt, the receptionist girl unintentionally helps him feel relaxed for the time being.
