Japan Tragedies Aftermath and Some Moral Lessons

Okay then I will tell you about my own troubles as this experience might be helpful to all of you in the future.

Let's start the story then

Hardship in Japan

as you all might know I don't have any experience in working moreover doing heavy labor. So when starting doing farming job, my back can't hold on and I was feeling pain in my lower back. I was holding it on in the start as I want to make good impression to my boss but it was in vain. I collapsed and make troubles for everyone and from there, things start to go downhill.

after much scolding and nagging from the boss, I made a resolve to just work the hardest I can no matter what. I work if asked, I never late, I rest when it's holiday. But it seems like the first time I collapsed because of back pain give my boss a bad impression so no matter how hard I struggle, it was not enough. And they told me that they fire me. and will send me home in the 29th of December. That thing happened in the night of 24th December. Such a holy night to remember.

At first I feel despaired. But after I ask my friend and parent for their opinion, I determined to try clawing my way so I can still stay in Japan to keep on working. I ask for help from the one who overseer the trainee from my country. You can say he is the one responsible for all the trainee in Japan from my country. And he said to just wait for his coming in the 28th. I can see hope from the way he say it. Until that fateful day come.

December the 28th. That guy is coming to the place together with the people that responsible for receiving the trainee (called Kumiai or in English, Worker Union). Unexpectedly, that guy from my country betray his word to me to help me and instead help the union and my boss persuade me to obediently leave the country. And send me straight to the airport.

I don't know the rules and what not but the plane fare for going back home is coming from my own pocket! the money that I worked so hard just go pouring out just like that.

And what worse is that guy from my country that should be my guardian here... He just come an extort more money from me. He said that it was to pay his train fare coming here. He said that he shouldn't have to pay that train fare if I don't have any troubles. And he said that for such a small matter he had to pay that much so he extorted money from me. it was just as much as the plane fare. that backstabbing coldblooded bastard... instead of giving solution he even do such terrible thing to me. I lost all my trust, and feel disappointed. The time I spend in the plane is hell.

More thing happened when I got back home but mostly are minors. You can imagine yourself how sad my parent was when I got back home.

Then another shit incoming. The company who sends me to Japan, the boss, comes to my house accompanied by 2 punks. and give ultimatum to my parent that we need to pay the fine because I broke the contract. That boss, he was used to be very polite and down to earth when I was training in his place. but now he turned 180 degrees into a vicious person trying to squeeze more money from me.

Me and my parent is at our wit's end. But thank god my father had a great lawyer acquaintance that can help us with that fine trouble.

My parents and I talk a lot about my troubles to this lawyer. Talking to him was another big eye opener. I understand at that time that law is not something to protect the weak. Law is something created to protect the people that understands it. If you don't understand law, it will be used against you. if you keep on being passive then people will have their way with you. That is an expensive lesson I receive there.

And after I talked with the lawyer, I realize that I can keep on staying in Japan at that time if I were to be more stubborn. I being there is protected by the law and those people from union or my boss can't fire me then send me back to my country just as they pleases. But I realizes that too late. I can only make it a big moral lesson to face the future.

Well now the fine from that bastard boss is still under process but I got the advantage for it so I might be able to avoid getting the fine. Oh just in case the fine is about 15.000$. Its the same amount as if I break the contract myself and flee from my working place. But I break that contract is not because of my will and he dares to extort my family and squeeze us until we dry like that... Such a scary place the world is.

Well.. that's just a bit story of my experience. Hope it can also help you readers if you meet trouble that is related to the law. Just be careful when signing something. Those crooks will always try to find a way to suck you dry.

In short, if you are weak then you will be used by others. So be brave and protect yourself.

    2. Law isn't the one uphold the justice it's the people. Law in the end is just a tool. I realized it sooner when i got into college to study it. I don't want to sounds like some radicalized people but trying getting your justice through law is a long way and it's only going to work if you have both the connection and money. I realize that your one life isn't anything before the mass and it's simple to destroy it for some people. The true power that you could use to truly protect yourself from those kind is both money and violence. Money is the universal need of people and violence would work no matter wherever you are in dealing with people. Why i think that radical ? Because i realize that my government could kill me and it's going to be completely legal and it is their rights to do so.
One thing i could perceive from your story is that you got involved by human traficker or black company if they call it in japan. They work in the borderline of law and they are eager to use violence to do their thing. That could also work the other way around you could use violence against them, it's going to cost you your life though that's the rough idea if you understand what i mean.

    1. Don't expect police help in the first place. It's not your fault since the company got a good front but that kind of company would smell foul from far away usually. Who recommend that company to you ? I bet he has some idea of it.

  5. Are you sure this isnt fanfic? Sounds unrealistic with all the unfortunate stuff happening... Not to be rude but how is it possible for you to get extorted so easily?? Also... isn't it natural that you would study the laws etc if you were desperate to stay or something? Whenever I order something online I check if its legal in my country (e.g. practice butterfly knife cap-opener)

    1. What if I say that I am that easy to fool type of person? I believe in people too easily and I am afraid to say my mind out loud fearing for a conflict. That resulted in that goddamned 'guardian' of mine extorting me.

and the boss that sends me to Japan didn't really teach me anything about the law regarding this training program. as if he from the start already aiming to extort people when shit happens like this.

Well, lesson learnt so from now I will take more care into this law stuff if I ever meet one again.

    2. Well i have same cases from you but it happen in earlier time of my life. In my middle school i belive that a friend of mine would stand with me against bullies gang but ended up deeply disappointed since the guy ended up as bystander and he laugh behind my back. Last time i put up a fight against those bullies i use a pen to tore a good scar in his cheeks got hit in my nose that we both bleed quite a lot that the adults grow 'concerned' about it. The parent threaten me to throw me to jail but the school pressure them not to since it would become a big scandal for the school. In the end i need to get out from the school but that's okay since i won't see them anymore.

  8. There is one question I want to ask.
WHY DID YOU GIVE THE OVERSEER MONEY? if it was me I would shot him with some words!

    ReplyDelete

    1. My salary is not given to me directly at that day. that overseer takes 'hostage' of my salary. and when he gave it to me when I was about to board my plane. the deeds has been done. what else could I do?

  9. I don't know how to fix all your troubles.. But I can offer 3 pieces of good advice to you. Firstly, I recommend getting the book Walk Yourself Well by Sherry Brourman. This book can help you get rid of your bad back by helping you to realign the bones in your body through several series of exercises as well as adjusting the way you walk. The second piece of advice is this -- For every problem you have, find an expert that can give you great advice. For the contract, maybe a lawyer that deals in contracts. Find out if what they are doing is legal and what actions you can take. And lastly, pray, pray, and pray some more.

  10. could have been worse, could have been better i guess
my parents had a worse experience, not gonna touch on that though but it really is incomprehensible that for the law to protect those that exploits it and now a days is even considered your fault to not understand the law and to be fooled
sad things asides regrets are fine but whats more important are things that can't be replaced, your health are there, your parent are fine and you still have your skills to do jobs with you
what is lost, is lost. but your future is still there, try not to get lied to again okay :D
last thing i want to say...
F*CK THOSE GUYS, THEY BETTER FALL INTO A SEWER AND TAKE A BATH FULL OF SHITS
    see you next post erothur!

    1. Hey, ever wonder why law always written so complicated, the teacher say that it was to nail down the details, I say that it was to make people confused and hide the loopholes. Oh and union is just a way for people with power get money from other hard work, just like taxes.
