Japanese Learning #4 Numbering

Then let's start learning Japanese now. We will start with remembering Japanese numbering system. And from now on there will be less latin writings. Why? to force you to remember Hiragana and Katakana that's why.

The numbering system in Japan is kinda hard to learn because it has a lot of types and each has a different way of reading. Although in Kanji the writing doesn't differ that much.

Let's start by the usual number 1st.

Japanese Language Tools

Need tools to help you learn Japanese? There are some good tools that can help. But never rely (too much) on a Translator tools as translation from those tools are totally messed up. The right way to use a translator.. by far..is to translate the Japanese word one by one then rearranged them in your own head to make it understandable.

1 tool that I recommend to use is Translator Aggregator. Translator Aggregator is a tool that work with other Japanese Language tools to parse the Japanese word by word and to show how the way to read the Kanji. To use Translator Aggregator you need:
1. Download and install Mecab
2. Download and extract Translator Aggregator
3. Download and extract edict.gz to Translator Aggregator Dictionary folder
*update use this link for easier download working Translator Aggregator (adfly)

To use it just copy the Japanese word that you want to read and it will be automatically taken to TA and TA will show how to read it in hiragana.

So.. Been lazy teaching nowadays and got some warning from the higher ups.. LOL no worries it's just me being role playing at random. Anyway I'm thinking of adding more to Japanese Learning, add some for computer programming, and maybe some physical education too.

More will come if I have the mood for it. might as well put some review for Anime as well here

But anyway.. Ready for more lesson Class? Then let's go Study x Study!

Japanese Learning #3 Learning Katakana

Now let's study katakana. Like I said before, katakana is used for any non Japanese word. But sometimes, katakana also used if the kanji for the word is hard or just to ease people reading. A quick example for it are /baka/ usually written in 「バカ」 katakana instead of the kanji「馬鹿」. For more complete usage, refer to Wikipedia entry about katakana.
