Japanese Learning #1 Introduction to Japanese Character

Japanese language, or in Japanese Nihon go (日本語), is a somewhat hard language to master because of the sickening amount of Kanji, one of Japanese traditional writing system, to learn. Yet because of Japan's world number one product, Anime and Manga (also Eroge ohum *clear throat* I mean Visual Novel), made lot's of people want to learn them inspite how hard it is to learn.

Now let's start the lesson by knowing the 3 basic writing system in Japanese. there are Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. First, the basic, is Hiragana. Hiragana is the basic Japanese phonetic alphabet. It represents every sound in the Japanese language. Therefore, you can theoretically write everything in hiragana. However, because Japanese is written with no spaces, this will create nearly indecipherable text. And then there's Katakana. Katakana is the same as Hiragana on how it can be used to represent any sound but Katakana is especially used for writing foreign language/ words that is not from Japanese. Last, there is.. the monstrous in number.. almost reached to 10.000 character.. "THE" Kanji. Kanji is a Chinese character that represent almost all the word that is used in Japanese. Even though it was from Chinese character, the meaning can be the same but the word came off of it is different.

That's all for the Intro. So then let's go to the next lesson.
